Craigslist is like a mad house. Everyday I look for that perfect posting for me to respond to. Hmm mmm it would go a little something like this:
Manhattan/writing/editing
New York Mag looking for newest fashion blogger for "The Cut". Experience necessary in fashion and journalism. Perfect job for Kate, please send writing samples with a resume, fuck the cover letter. Fabulous salary and full benefits. Kate we want YOU!
Is that too much to ask? But no, I end up filtering through spam and "get rich quick" schemes that seem to be popping up more and more. :::Sigh::: Manhattan's Craigslist is like being hungry in a jungle. You don't know if you should take a bite of something for fear of getting poisoned...or a rash...and never mess with rash.
How does one even find sufficient freelance work or even a full time job in Manhattan? Is it wrong if I place an add on Craigslist for a New York City mentor...because I need one. HELP!
NYC MENTOR NEEDED
Respond if you have only worked/lived/breathed in Manhattan for more than a year in the fashion industry or editorial world
Compensation: A fun loving, eager to learn girl like myself to do your biding and kiss the ground you walk on for guiding me
